Booking & diagnosis
$90minimum charge per item
Includes booking and the first hour of diagnosis and/or repair. Payable upfront for online bookings, or at drop-off for walk-ins. Warranty claims are excluded.
Additional labour
$110per hour
After the first hour, labour is charged in half-hour blocks at $55 per half hour.
Parts & components
POApriced according to requirements
Parts and agreed courier costs are additional and count towards the working budget. Low-cost parts within the agreed scope and budget do not require separate approval. Expensive parts require approval before ordering or fitting, agreed case by case.
Further faults may be identified during disassembly, repair or final testing, particularly on older equipment. The final cost may differ from the ballpark estimate, but work remains subject to the agreed scope and budget.
Liquid damage and previous repair work may require a billable assessment before a repair estimate can be provided. The assessment scope and budget must be agreed first. The $90 fee covers only the first hour, not a complete strip-down. Liquid damage and prior-repair assessment procedure.

How much will it cost to fix my gear?+
The minimum charge is $90 per item, including booking and the first hour of diagnosis and/or repair. After that, labour is $110 per hour, charged in $55 half-hour blocks. Parts and courier costs are additional and count towards your agreed repair limit. We’ll obtain approval before exceeding that limit. Read our service terms.
Is my ballpark estimate a fixed quote?+
No. It’s an initial guide based on the faults we can identify at that stage. Older equipment may reveal more faults during repair or final testing. We agree a working budget and scope with you so routine labour and low-cost parts can proceed without stopping for each small item. We’ll seek approval for expensive parts, agreed case by case, or before exceeding your budget. An estimate alone does not authorise extra spending.
What if my equipment has liquid damage or previous repair work?+
We may need to fully strip the unit to inspect both sides of circuit boards, cables, connectors and any previous work before giving a repair estimate. Depending on the make and model, this assessment can take 4–12 hours; it is billable and is not included in the first-hour fee. We agree the assessment scope and budget before starting. Corrosion, damaged connections, missing parts or earlier repair issues can affect repair options and timing. Read the assessment procedure.
How long will my repair take?+
It depends on the job. We can give you a clearer idea once we’ve seen your equipment. We stock parts for some common items; others need to be ordered, which can affect turnaround time.
Will you use original replacement parts?+
Most of the time, yes. Sometimes original parts aren’t available. We’ll let you know when we use a refurbished or reused part.
How do I pay for a repair?+
Online bookings pay $90 per item upfront; walk-ins pay at drop-off. We accept cash, credit cards, EFTPOS, bank transfer and PayID at the workshop. Bank transfer and PayID funds must clear before collection. Applicable card surcharges are disclosed before payment. Warranty claims are excluded from the standard booking fee.
Can I hire equipment while mine is being fixed?+
Absolutely. We have DJ equipment, speakers, lighting, screens, truss and foggers available for hire. Ask us about discounted replacement hire while your gear is being repaired, and call to check availability.
Can you help with pickup or courier delivery?+
Our workshop is at 4/16 Industry Boulevard, Carrum Downs. If you can’t make it to us, contact the team to arrange courier options or discuss pickup services. Delivery costs are additional.
Do you handle warranty repairs?+
We’re recognised service agents for a range of manufacturers, distributors and retailers. See our brand list for authorised warranty brands, then call us to confirm your specific equipment and warranty arrangements.
When can I drop off or collect equipment?+
Tuesday to Friday, 10:30am–6pm, and Saturday, 11am–4pm. We’re closed Monday, Sunday and public holidays, but you’re welcome to call. Please arrange a time before collecting so we can make sure your equipment is ready. If standard hours don’t work for you, give us a call — crew may be around outside these times.
